SunSol Hotels see 500% increase in reviews

Our Wifi partner has enabled SunSol Hotels, located across the Americas, to collect 500% more reviews since the installation of its WiFi and analytics solution. By using this tool, venues and businesses that want to engage with visitors and understand the use of their physical spaces can deliver a guest WiFi solution that generates real-time analytics and marketing.

The WiFi provider specialises in security services and IT networks, first approached the hotel chain in late 2016 to discuss their IT and wireless requirements. The three year contract applies to all of the hotels owned and operated by the company, with three properties located in the Caribbean on Margarita Island and Coche Island in Venezuela, plus their newest opening in Orlando, Florida.

In just two weeks of installing the connector, the hotel received 500% more reviews than they used to in a whole month and collected more reviews in April than it had in the last year. Gradually, the solution will be rolled out at all SunSol properties, in various zones.

Fedor Sawoloka, the Digital Platform Manager for SunSol Hotels, said: “The marketing and analytics platform has opened up a wide range of opportunities for us. We can now collect detailed profiles about our guests and have a much clearer vision of potential clients. In addition, through using the system we can offer a better overall service to our guests throughout their stay.”

The four highly esteemed resorts previously had no WiFi in place and their client database was very limited. They needed a quality WiFi connection for guests, along with the ability to capture detailed customer data to export into a brand-new database. Details such as who is logging on, when and where across the resorts will be used to engage with guests and improve the visitor experience, by promoting amenities, entertainment and restaurant offers to both new and existing customers.

During the initial meetings with the system provider , the customer’s IT and commercial departments ensured both teams fully understood the platforms value and capabilities. They showcased how customers can login to the WiFi via a form or social media, which then provides the hotel with detailed analytics, visitor data and a plethora of marketing tools.
