Country Oaks Frames work from a premise in the middle of a farmyard. Originally a pig farm, now being converted to house several businesses and eventually it will become a small industrial estate.
As the location is very rural and away from residential homes the businesses already located here are not restricted to noise which is helpful as ‘Country Oaks’ uses noisy industrial size saws for cutting wood. However great the location is for the running of the business, Jamie still had the issue of Telecoms or the fact that telecoms and broadband was none existent. So with increased orders and a high volume of enquiries coming through, broadband was becoming a necessity but near impossible via a fixed line. This was a cause for concern that led Jamie to almost consider relocating the business to find better connectivity. Jamie approached Genius Technology Solutions to see if we had any solutions that could help.
The 4G frequency proved to be the strongest and a Rural Broadband solution was chosen by Jamie. The 4G signal was strong enough that we didn’t need an external antenna, so we installed a 4G router to the inside of their wood shed, it’s very discreet with minimal cabling to the power supply.
After testing the speed we were successful in obtaining a download of 38.9mbps and upload of 19.8mbps.
This solution totally transformed the business performance. Jamie can now respond to emails and enquiries much quicker and far easier without wasting time trying to search for a good 4G signal with his mobile phone. Customers now contact Country Oaks with the confidence their message will be responded to within the same working day.

"We are currently using another local company and have used them for the last couple of years after only ever getting less than 2mbps with BT. They vary considerably with speeds but normally averages 8 - 10 mbps. That said, depending on the time of day/weather etc. we sometimes struggle to get a decent speed.
My wife spends most of her time working from home and the broadband speed is generally sufficient for emails and the like. Web access however can sometimes be fairly slow and it is quicker to come off wi-fi and use 3G on the phone! Away from work, downloading films etc. can sometimes take hours and watching programmes as they download is frustrating at they often freeze and the old spinning circle appears!
We require a Fixed IP address for our CCTV system - is that something that you can provide as well?Certainly if you think we should get in the region of 33 mbps it would definitely be of interest to us."
